Community Partnerships








The Healthy Calaveras Collaborative (HCC) has been established to improve the health outcomes of people who live in Calaveras by organizing community members, combining resources, and promoting a shared vision for a better community. HCC participants are encouraged to share resources, activities, and services aimed at improving the lives of families, children, and individuals of Calaveras. HCC meetings are held four times a year in different locations throughout the county. Tri-County Wellness Coalition

The Tri-County Wellness Coalition, is dedicated to building strong, healthy communities—mentally, physically, and socially. We bring community members, health experts, and advocates together to provide education, raise awareness, and inspire healthy choices for a better quality of life for community members! ASAP (Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention)

The coalition was formed through the efforts of the Tobacco Prevention Program and Substance Abuse Prevention. Partnerships were formed with community organizations and residents to address the concerns of tobacco use and exposure and youth substance use and abuse. Oral Health Taskforce

This collaborative group meets quarterly to accomplish our mission to increase and enhance equitable access to quality dental care, resources, and awareness for all Calaveras County residents. Prevent Child Abuse Council - Calaveras

To improve the well-being of all families in Calaveras County through safe and healthy relationships within homes, schools, and communities. Unless otherwise noted, PCAC meetings are held every odd month on the fourth Thursday from 3:00-5:00pm.








Teen Link Calaveras (TLC)

Teen Link Calaveras (TLC) is a youth coalition for Calaveras County teens to address tobacco efforts, access health information, and to be connected to services, resources, and opportunities in the community. Calaveras Child Care Council

The mission of the Calaveras Child Care Council (CCCC) supports the development of affordable, accessible, quality child care which promotes the success of all children, their families, and the economy of our communities. We envision an inclusive, affordable child care system that promotes healthy, successful children and youth. The CCCC has a public meeting and all persons interested in child care issues are encouraged to attend. The coalition is a collaborative effort between Amador and Calaveras County Public Health divisions to help prevent the continuation of injuries among children through education and resources allocation. The coalition was formed to help plan for and prevent the spread of infectious diseases in health care settings. Coalition members work together to share best practices, new policies and procedures, and disease reporting requirements. Meetings are held quarterly and are open to health care facility infection preventionists. Health Care & Safety Coalition

The mission of the Health Care and Safety Coalition (HCSC) is to develop a dynamic public-private partnership that promotes an effective community response to a public health or medical emergency. Priorities of the HCSC are determined by the Hazard Vulnerabilities Assessment (HVA), identifying the local Top Ten Hazards. Meetings are held quarterly and are open to the community.
