Child Health & Disability Program (CHDP) Information

Senate Bill (SB) 184 authorizes the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to sunset the CHDP Program effective July 1, 2024. All operations around the CHDP program by Calaveras County Public Health will cease at that time.

Eligibility for CHDP includes:

  • Family income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level or
  • Children covered by Emergency Only Medi-Cal

There is no cost for children's preventive health screenings for CHDP eligible families.
