If you are in need of childhood immunizations, please verify if your child is eligible for the California Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.

Eligibility for the receipt of VFC vaccines

To be eligible for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program, children must be 18 years of age or younger and meet any one of the following criteria:

  1. Be eligible for Medi-Cal or Child Health and Disability Program (CHDP) or
  2. Have no health insurance (be uninsured) or
  3. Be American Indian or Alaskan Native

Note: Children who have health insurance that does not cover immunizations (under-insured) may receive federally funded vaccines (VFC /section 317 funded vaccines), only at federally qualified health centers or rural health clinics. Please contact practice to determine acceptance of new patients, business open hours, and cost associated with the administration of VFC supplied vaccines.

Vaccines are provided at no cost to participating providers. Providers may impose a fee for the administration of a qualified pediatric vaccine not to exceed $26.03 for non-Medi-Cal patients. For established VFC-eligible patients and other VFC-eligible patients that the provider chooses to immunize, VFC immunization cannot be denied due to the inability to pay an administration fee.

VFC provider locations can be found at https://eziz.org/vfc/provider-locations/.
